Matthew 14:27-33 NKJV
27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”
28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”
29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”
31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.
33 Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”
I can’t even imagine the faith it took for Peter to step out of that boat and walk toward Jesus! Wow! What I can imagine though is when he started to sink when he took his eyes off of Jesus. I do it myself quite often.
As we go through each day we all need to be ever so conscious that Jesus is with us wherever we are and whatever we are doing. He NEVER leaves us. We may leave Him, but he never leaves us.
Each day we will have problems and pains that confront us that we must deal with. We need to realize that our peace is in Jesus Christ and never take our eyes off of Him.
So the next time you feel yourself sinking in the swirling and crazy events of your day, remember, Jesus is there. Simply call out to Him, ‘Jesus help me’, and he will take you by the hand and lead you back to where you need to be.

I don’t know where you are in your walk with Jesus but I know I struggle every day and I have to make an intentional, conscious effort to stay focused and do as He would have me to. I thank God for his amazing grace!
May God bless you and keep you and please tell me your thoughts. Thank you.
